Meet Ashley Allen
Author • Brain Health Coach • Storytime Explorer
Based in Ohio and fueled by dark roasted coffee (with a splash of chocolate collagen!), Ashley Allen brings a world of heart and imagination to her books for young readers. A former elementary school teacher of 9 years and a reading specialist, Ashley discovered the magic of storytelling while helping her students fall in love with reading. That’s when her author journey began.

Ashley is the proud author of The Number Mountain and Saving Odin, two vibrant picture books that spark joy, curiosity, and kindness. Whether she’s introducing playful number characters or celebrating the resilience of a young orca, her stories are designed to uplift and empower kids—one page at a time.

Ashley’s favorite part of being an author? Visiting schools and reading to students face-to-face! She lights up when she’s in a classroom, sharing stories, answering questions, and encouraging young readers to dream big. School visits are where her passion and purpose truly come alive.

When she’s not writing, Ashley wears a few other hats: she’s a Licensed Brain Health Coach and a Real Estate Appraiser with STP Appraisal Services. She’s also a nature lover, Lego builder, piano player, and a new (but obsessed) paddleboarder. Her loyal travel buddy? A beloved fur baby who’s always up for an adventure.

Ashley writes with a mission: to inspire children to be curious, kind, and confident—and to help grown-ups spark meaningful conversations through books that blend fun with heart.
